IQOLA Countries
The IQOLA Project, which is in its tenth year, is translating, validating, and norming the SF-36 Health Survey for
use in multinational clinical trials and other international studies. Based at the Health Assessment Lab (HAL),
the project originally included sponsored investigators from 14 countries: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark,
France, Germany, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom (English version), and
the United States (Spanish version). In addition, translations have been developed for more than 40 other countries,
including: Argentina, Armenia, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic,
Finland, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong, Hungary, Israel, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru,
Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, South Africa, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tanzania,
Turkey, the United Kingdom (Welsh), the United States (Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese), Uruguay, Venezuela, and
Yugoslavia.
